Black Americana Lady Liberty Doll
This Lady Liberty measures 24" tall and was made from aged and painted muslin. Liberty has a drawn on face and needle sculpted nose and eyebrows. Her graying hair is curly sheep's wool and has been needle felted into her head. Liberty's dress is an Americana sheep print with stars all over it and I added an aged scrim shawl around her neck. She has on aged, muslin bloomers and has painted on boots with floss laces. Attached to her hand is a torch made from a vintage spindle and a wool felt flame on top.

Americana Raggedy Ann Doll

This Ann Doll has the sweetest face!! She is 21" tall and is made from aged muslin. Her eyes are black buttons and the rest of her face is hand-stitched in place. Her hair is vintage red wool, stitched on the seam. More quilt shop fabric was used for her dress and a woolfelt collar, with hand-stitching, is around her neck for a collar. Ann's stripes on her legs are hand-stenciled and her shoes are painted on.

Primitive Sisters Doll Set
Clay Heads
Each doll measures 12" tall and their bodies are made from aged osnaburg fabric. Their heads are made in a character style and hand sculpted from clay, no molds were used. They were sanded, painted, then stained. Curly sheeps wool was added for their hair. Their hands are needle sculpted and the arms and hands are wired. I used quilt shop fabrics for their dresses and added rusty tin bell accents to each. I painted on their shoes with an old fashioned flair. The sampler simply says, "Sisters forever."
